A screen poem about screens as emotional modulators. It includes kinetic elements, both subtle and unsubtle. Dedicated to Natasha Dow Schüll, whose book Addiction By Design: Machine Gambling in Las Vegas was tremendously influential on my thinking about digital media, and, later, my PhD research.
I read the poem live for the first and only time on Jan 1, 2020, at the 46th Annual New Year's Day Marathon at the Poetry Project.
