Opening Sources is an internet poem written continuously by anonymous authors. You may click any word and alter it to whatever else you'd prefer. Changes appear instantly to anyone else with the site open.
I did live readings of Opening Sources as performances in 2008 and 2009. In these events, the poem was projected on a screen and the audience was invited to edit the text while I read it aloud cyclically. Loops of feedback formed, I became a puppet, and each audience discovered in real time the possibilities and limitations of its mediated collective voice.
